10 Things I Never Regret Doing

The other day I was thinking about some regrets I've had in my life (that have typically taken the form of embarrassing moments and/or mistakes), but then that got me to thinking about the opposite of these situations, aka things I never regret doing.
I don't know what the antonym of "regrets"is, but basically, if I choose to do the following things, I'm never left feeling disappointed or repentant; instead, I feel satisfied and glad I chose to do them. And while never is a strong word, here's my short list of opportunities I believe you should always take if given the opportunity.
(What I Never Regret Doing > What I Often Regret Doing)
1. Drinking water > drinking soda
There is just something so satisfying about filling up with some good, ole fashion H20 rather than carbonated citric acids. Plus, staying hydrated is good for you. What a concept!

2. Working out > lazying around
As hard as it is to go to the gym, after you leave a good workout, you can't help but feel accomplished. Plus, if you exercise consistently, you'll begin to see your hard work pay off!

3. Waking up early > waking up late
This one takes discipline (and it also means you have to go to bed earlier), BUT waking up early will change your life. It allows you to see the sunrise, have some time to yourself before anyone else is up, and get stuff done before the clock even hits 10 o'clock.

4. Listening to worship music > listening to secular music
I love listening to all types of music, don't get me wrong, but singing worship music at the top of your lungs hits different. Plus, if you're in the mood for rap you can just turn up Coming in Hot by Andy Mineo. It's a win win.

5. Dressing up > looking like a hobo
Turns out "dress for success" is more than just a phrase! Statistically proven, dressing up gives you a boost of confidence, allows you to perform better, and positively affects people's perception of you.

6. Reading a book > scrolling through social media
There's just something about getting transported to a different world through a nice paperback novel that makes reading a good book so worth your while.

7. Leaving someone on good terms > leaving angry
I never regret saying "Love you!" to family and friends before I leave them, even if there was an argument just minutes before. But if I leave my family without resolving a conflict, I have to call them while I'm driving away in the car, because you never know when you may see someone for the last time.
"Do not let the sun go down on your anger"
Ephesians 4:26

8. Smiling at a stranger > frowning at a stranger
Even if someone doesn't smile back, the people who do make it 1000000% worth it.

9. Spending quality time with friends > staying home alone
Don't get me wrong, I love spending time alone. However, I always find myself happier surrounded by friends. So if you're torn between lazying around the house by yourself and hanging out with the homies... hang with the homies.

10. Living life with Jesus > living life without Him
The days I'm not focused on myself and focused on Jesus instead are the best days of my life. Period.
