Disclaimer: None of this is sponsored... although I wouldn't be opposed if it was haha. Happy Reading!

It's that time of year again... time to move-in! I've always loved scrolling through Pinterest, binge-watching HGTV, giving a mediocre attempt at decorating spaces... and move-in days only encourage these habits.
I'm about to expose myself big time here, but the first "renovation"of a space I did was my locker in the sixth grade. And there's video evidence. Big cringe warning. I also managed to film a dorm tour from my freshman year which can be found here. Again, cringe warning.

Although I am no Emma Stone, I enjoyed making these videos, because (as utterly embarrassing as they are) I know I will appreciate the visual memories when I'm older.
Now that I'm living in a sorority house, I decided I might as well continue to document my living arrangements and share my aesthetic with you guys! So without further ado, welcome to my crib!
Where the Napping Happens

The decor in my room this year is extremely similar to the decor from my dorm room, for one simple reason: almost everything is the same! After all, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it!"

The pink blanket and circle mirror are from At Home, the white comforter is from Amazon, and the sheets are from Bed Bath & Beyond. My favorite item in the whole room is probably the neon butterfly which is from Target, and all of the printed 4x6 photos are images from my Pinterest board (shameless plug)!
The headboard is a hand-me-down from Pier 1 (shoutout to Big Mack), and since having a space to dance is of the utmost importance we have a grey rug from At Home that it is perfect for moon walking on).
Also, the letter board and "Babe Cave" sign are from Hobby Lobby, and the star lights are from Target!

Who Says You Can't Study in Style
My favorite part of the room may very well be the desk-slash-makeshift-vanity (which is a good thing considering how many online classes I'll be doing there this year)!

The metal shelving units are from Bed, Bath, and Beyond, all of my school supplies and makeup items are in the plastic storage containers from
Amazon, the vanity mirror is from Bed Bath & Beyond, and my white desk chair is from Walmart. The pink lamp was thrifted from Goodwill, and the "hi" sign is from Hobby Lobby (pro-tip: there is always a "40% off one item" coupon at Hobby Lobby on their website)!
Perhaps the cutest thing in the room is my plant from Target, Chartreuse (named for the charmingly green complexion of his leaves). And when I'm studying, I use the app Forest, so it was only fitting I got a plant to keep my phone company while it grows virtual trees.

Not pictured, I'm currently DIY-ing a dry-erasable calendar (that can be made from an empty photo frame and paint swatches) and printing out a prayer tracker to physically see how God has been answering my prayers. I cannot wait to add them to the setup!
In the beige woven basket, there's a gratitude jar to help me stay positive in times of "stress at the desk", and my phone has its own little napping spot in a phone jail (or should I say 'cell' block lol) to keep me off of it and productive. You can buy an expensive phone jail that locks for a certain period of time here, but I just use this waterproof box that works for camping too. Plus, I keep the books I'm currently reading in the basket for easy access as well!
Ready, Closet, Go!
There's nothing too special about our closets, so I won't go into too much detail. But here's a sneak peak inside just for funsies.

Oh, and here are the items on me and my roomie's bucket list so far incase you were wondering:

Wrapping Up
While that was a super speedy look at my living arrangements this year, I hope you were able to find it helpful and entertaining! At the end of the day, home isn't about where you are; it's about the people you're with... but it never hurts to cozy up your space along the way!
Thanks for reading this week's post, and I hope to see you next week.
Love,
Erica
